Arkom was founded in 2017 by an avid scale modeler.
Established in 2017, Armored Komodo (ArKom) came as a result of identifying the need to create hobby grade paints for the local Philippines hobby painting community. Imported brands were expensive, lacking in color selection and had long restock times before colors that were needed became available. It created a limitation to creativity and accessibility of products to our local hobbyists. A need to provide hobby painters with an affordable, with huge color selection and easily accessible hobby grade paints was identified. These days, Arkom aims to make the hobby accessible to everybody by offering quality and affordability in its products. Affordability allows easier entry of new and casual hobby painters wanting to try the hobby, while keeping the hobby grade quality competitively topnotch, keeps the serious mainstays. We aim to bring ease of acquisition to hobby painters by making the product available straight to customers by establishing various online marketplaces shipped locally in their own country making order taking very convenient.
Our Paint
Filipinos have always been good at art; we’ve always been known to be industrious and tenacious. Locally developed and produced, each of our paint was made with those qualities in tow. We made sure that paint coverage, durability, grip and finish are up to par if not better with well-known global brands. We’ve also incorporated Pinoy ingenuity into the development of paints by coming up with products new to everyone else as evidenced in our Flair Pigments line.
